Allison McTigue started teaching at Saint Anthony in December of 2022. Mrs. McTigue grew up in Chicago and has been teaching since 2001. In 2004, she moved to Florida, and began working in the Broward County Public School system. During her first 10 years, she worked as an ESE support facilitator for students in grades K-6. She taught small groups, provided one-on-one support, and co-taught with general education teachers. She also served in an administrative role overseeing the special education department at an elementary school in Pompano. For the last 12 years, Mrs. McTigue taught a specialized preschool program for children, ages three through five, with varying exceptionalities. Her program focused on curriculum, social-emotional skills, independent functioning, and communication skills. She loves teaching preschool. This is where her heart is!
