Information on tryout dates and times will be posted prior to each season and will be determined by the athletic director and coach. All qualified students may try out for membership on sports teams. The school is committed to providing everyone a fair chance to participate. Unfortunately, not everyone who tries out can be accepted. The decision of the coach, in conjunction with the Athletic Director is final. Parents are encouraged to help their students understand that not everyone will be selected.
Physical Examinations: All students are required to submit a completed Athletic Pre-participation Physical Evaluation and Athletic Consent Form for the current school year prior to participation. These forms may be downloaded from the SACS website. The blue and yellow school health forms are not the proper forms and will not be accepted.
TRYOUT SCHEDULE – SEASON #1
*Students are expected to attend all tryout dates. Athletic physicals and consent forms must be turned in prior to participation. Athletic fee of $100.00 is due upon selection of the team. Cheerleading Athletic Fee: $125.00.
Boys Junior Varsity Basketball (grades 5 & 6):
Tryout: Monday August 28 & Tuesday August 29 from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m.
Boys Varsity Basketball (grades 7 & 8):
Tryout: Wednesday August 30 & Thursday August 31 from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m.
Girls Soccer (grades 6 – 8):
Tryout: Tuesday August 29 and Wednesday August 30 from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. at St. Anthony field. Shin guards and rubber soled cleats are required equipment. Students should also bring a water bottle.
Junior Varsity ( Grades 5 & 6) & Varsity (Grades 7 & 8) Cheerleading:
Practice Sessions: Monday August 28 & Tuesday August 29 from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m.
Tryout: Thursday August 31 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.
*Cheer Clinic for both J.V. and Varsity team members to be held at Pace High School on Saturday September 9.
*Exhibition: Pace High School Saturday October 14- 10:00 a.m.
