Celebration of the sacraments during the school year is a central activity of all the religious education activities. The sacraments put the students in touch with Jesus. Each week the students have the opportunity to receive the Eucharist (Holy Communion) during the school wide Mass. During the year the students participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation (penance/confession) and know that they are loved by and reconciled with Jesus.
Students prepare and receive First Reconciliation and First Eucharist during the second grade.
Students prepare and receive Confirmation during the eighth grade.
There are special classes in sacrament preparation for students who desire to receive the sacraments of Eucharist (Holy Communion) and Reconciliation (penance/confession) for the first time, and who have not had previous formal religious education. These sessions are after school and involve parental participation.
